Hey there, Grub It Up fans. I know we are in unforeseen times, and I hope everyone is being safe and getting used to this new normal. Now is the perfect time for a lifestyle change in regards to how you fuel your body. With the current health crisis, it's the right time to start focusing on your health and living a healthy lifestyle. Going from eating unhealthy to healthy does not happen overnight. With the right resources and a little time spent, you can learn that eating healthy can be fun and give you and your body the right energy.

We are going to start talking about some healthy food options and nutrients to grub on while on your health journey path. Let's begin with smoothies today. Smoothies are simple, satisfying, and just plain good for you. Utilize smoothies as a meal replacement, a snack, or a refuel after a great workout. Smoothies are filling, nutritious, and delicious made to give your body the daily fruit and vegetable consumption it needs. Don't be afraid of adding greens like spinach and kale it blends so well with the fruit it tastes amazing so don't ever knock anything until you experience it for yourself in other words.

Benefits of Kale - A superfood:

  • Vitamins A, C, K, B6

  • Antioxidants

  • Great source for weightloss

Now another favorite superfood of mine that is delicious is dragon fruit. I know what you are probably thinking, yes, it is magical and powerful just like a dragon, it can do wonders for your body. Dragon fruit is bold and pink in color with a pack of flavor.

  • High in fiber - 7 grams per one-cup serving

  • Promotes a healthy gut

  • Strengthens your immune system
