5 Step Simple Guacamole Recipe

I love avocados, it has probably been at least 2 or 3 years since I have gone a day without eating one. Avocados are delicious, nutritious, and posses healthy fats that are good for you. I put avocados on eggs, bread (Avocado Toast), you name it I avocado it. Yet, my favorite staple, my first love, and my first introduction to guacamole is the famous chips and guacamole. When that guac hits that chip and then enters my mouth it is truly heaven! Today in honor of TACO TUESDAY I am going to share my recipe for making the freshest and most delicious guac!


Ingredients:

  1. 2 large Hass avocados

  2. 1/4 cup of fresh minced red onions

  3. coarse ground black pepper

  4. 1 fresh lime

  5. garlic powder

  6. pink Himalayan salt

Instructions:

  1. Grab your avocados and slice each one in half, make sure you use a sharp knife. Scoop out the seed and throw it away. Next up you will slit each half four times across vertically and horizontally. Use a spoon to scoop the avocado into a bowl and set it to the side.

  2. Grab your red onion and slice it in half and then cut those halves in half. Now if you are all about convenience like me I recommend getting the Fullstar Vegetable Chopper, this is a lifesaver trust me! Put two of your halves inside this chopper and magic happens. No more chopping on your own. If you don't have this chopper get it, but in the meantime mince your red onions to your liking and then add them to your avocado bowl.

  3. Take your lime and slice it in half and squeeze baby squeeze both halves into your bowl.

  4. Add a few pinches of black pepper, salt, and garlic powder to your liking.

  5. Use a fork in a mash, stir, repeat motion to create your guac! I like mine chunky with a hint of smoothness, but you do you, baby!
